The Underground

The Underground is a biannual literary publication based out of the College of Mount St. Vincent in the Bronx, New York. Think of The Underground as a literary bazaar; you're going to find something different and unique on every single page. The Underground is not tied down to one theme, one voice, one genre. We will let anything that represents the many edges of the world grace our pages. We publish short fiction, nonfiction, poetry, photography, and artwork from around the world. On one page you might find the seductive illustrations by a tattoo artist in Providence, Rhode Island right next to the flash fiction of a graduate student from Portland, Oregon. Turn the page and you might be hit with startling photography from an aspiring artist in Luxembourg or Australia. So let yourself be carried from market stand to market stand; allow something to take you away.
